Hi all, I am flabbergasted at the amount of enthusiasm on a Team list with 205 subscribers!
Since 2 month I have sent mails and mails to this list asking for help for the Release Party and, besides the usual 2 people who are *always* helping, no response... This is a last attempt to raise the call for help, if nobody steps up to give a hand I will go partying in Bern with the Puzzle people who so kindly offered to host this event together with Hassan and Mark (who are the only people who are in the Attendees list) and ask the Ubuntu admins to dissolve this group, it doesn't make any sense if nobody has an interest for Team activities. OK, for the last time: Who will attend the party and give a hand? Who is still interested in having a Swiss Team that organizes Ubuntu related activities? Please speak up and put your name in the attendees list here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/SwissTeam/ReleasePartyKarmic/Attendees We would like to have people giving a hand to: - demonstrate Ubuntu/Kubuntu to visitors, - present Ubuntu and/or specific applications or projects related to Ubuntu, - give a hand with installing if people show up for it. * I will present Kubuntu and the Timelord project and will be demonstrating the KDE4 desktop and Amarok as well as being around to answer questions and hand out CDs * Hassan has volunteered to talk about his experience with Ubuntu in a server park and is around to answer questions. * Mark will be around to answer questions about Amarok and development in Kubuntu/KDE. We still need people to spread the word in Switzerland (see my previous mail with the press texts in 4 languages: https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-ch/2009-November/001104.html). I will spread the word to the various groups in the French speaking part. As already stated in my mails in the last two months, I am currently extremely busy with work and really don't have much time, but if somebody wants to talk to me about the issue, I am available by phone at 078 894 05 65.
