Yes. They'll be the same. the bug was a result of metadata having "ephemeral0" listed as "/dev/sda2" in an instance-store instance but as "sda2" for a ebs instance. [1] That said, the user can control this default behavior via cloud-config now. User data of the following will mount ephemeral0 on /opt: #cloud-config mounts: - [ ephemeral0, /opt ] The same can also be specified in /etc/cloud/cloud.cfg in re-bundled images. > Flip a coin and then move forward.
