Hi all, I'm an ICT consultant and I'm trying to learn about UEC setting up a mini laboratory. For a first prototype I have 2 little servers (front end and NC) and a notebook (for management). My "cloud" experience is managinig a Vmware Virtual Center with approx 100 VM. My goal is to demonstrate that the same level of operativity can be reached using exclusively open source software.
I started with the instructions at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UEC/CDInstall Front-end installation was Ok (but I have a 2 lan server so I had to setup manually the second interface). NC install went well and I found (in /etc/network/interfaces) eth0 set to manual and br0 set to use eth0 interface Now my question: how can I undate the operating system of the NC? >From the NC console trying to ping an external IP gives a "network unreachable". From the Front-end console everything works and I can launch the normalupdate commands (sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get dist-upgrade) What I'm doing wrong? Thanks Mirto
