Hello,

I'm seeing some strange reboot behavior on maverick instances that I've
recently upgraded the linux kernel on.

here's the apt log on the upgrade

Start-Date: 2011-02-16 07:07:17
Commandline: apt-get dist-upgrade
Install: linux-image-2.6.35-25-virtual:i386 (2.6.35-25.44)
Upgrade: linux-image-virtual:i386 (2.6.35.24.28, 2.6.35.25.32),
linux-virtual:i386 (2.6.35.24.28, 2.6.35.25.32)
End-Date: 2011-02-16 07:07:47

These are c1.medium instances. The behavior is that they are taking longer to
come online, what used to take 2 minutes now seems to take 10 minutes.

I've got some other maverick m1.xlarge instances that I upgraded to
2.6.35-27.48, and one of these took 30 minutes to reboot.

I'm taking a look in /var/log/boot.log and there don't appear to be any clues
there.

Are other people having issues like this?

What info should I look for that may help diagnose the problem?

Is it possibly related to an earlier issue with kernel panics?

Thanks in advance,

Jon Marston
