what does "iwconfig" say by example?

  Mode:Managed  Frequency:2.417 GHz  Access Point: 00:0F:66:51:C3:2B
          Bit Rate:36 Mb/s   Tx-Power:18 dBm   Sensitivity=0/3
          Retry:off   RTS thr:off   Fragment thr:off
          Power Management:off
Link Quality=20/94  Signal level=-75 dBm  Noise level=-95 dBm

I admit that I never understanded what those numbers mean ;-)

Setting a static IP works for me but put a blank resolv.conf at the
moment, that's supposed to be fixed with next upload (which is planned
for today)

How did you do this ?

I'm not sure, you may want to read the code for that :)

No

It doesn't work with all the drivers (atheros by example). This has been
discussed during the distribution team meeting today, Scott who works on
it will mail the mailing list to explain what are the issue with it.
That's likely it'll be promoted for main (maybe ship) but not part of
the default desktop due to that.

Well, I'm using an atheros driver on an atheros chipset. (device ath0)  If you receive this then it works ;-)
Thanks, I will wait fot the email :-)
