whgats a port, whats ssh ? wou7ld your mother know that ? if i'd need to
ssh into my mothers computer i'D tell her how to install openssh-server
on the phone (which then opens port 22 and only port 22) and then tell
her how to uninstall or disable it through the services manager (which
closes port 22 permanently) after i'm done ...

most of the normally used server apps only open one single port and if
you either uninstall them or disable their startup you are on the safe
side. what apart from DoS-attack protection (which is nonsense on an
enduser desktop system as you can just quickly reconnect to the net in
case of a DoS) would a firewall provide here ?
