It's possible to merge the funcionality of "network monitor" applet into
"network manager" applet (including alterning of icon colors during network
activity)?

I'm having some problems with network here, since i got my PRO100 Management
Adapter works after include in linux boot option "irqpoll" some weird things is
happen (ok, these is an issue of kernel, not the distribuition itself):

- i was using Ubuntu 7.10 and network manager applet show none informations
about IP settings, only after switch from roaming mode to DHCP server in
network configuration utility works fine, but all trhough command line (ifup,
ifdown etc),

- after upgrading for Hardy Heron the behavior was changed, the network manager
starts like it can't get an IP address, after and select disable and enable
again (right-click options) it finally get the IP configuration (using roaming
mode)

- but, even so, i can't get my internet surfing (i'm using ASDL connection
configured by pppoeconf utility
- what i have to do now: enter in network configuration utility, unlock for my
user and in terminal i can use "pon dsl-provider" to get authentication, and
works fine.

Sorry my poor English.

My machine: Athlon 1.33GHz, Asus A7V133 mobo, GeForce2 MX200 videoboard, 256MB
RAM, 80 GB HDD,
