Hi, I know that 32 bit ubuntu has a limit at around 3.3 Gb but I have less than that. So, I was hoping that I won't have to install the server or the 64bit version. The memory is detected correctly in the BIOS. I am using jaunty 32bit, fully upgraded.
Here's the output of cat /proc/meminfo MemTotal: 1997016 kB MemFree: 1143660 kB Buffers: 62948 kB Cached: 347884 kB SwapCached: 0 kB Active: 546652 kB Inactive: 249064 kB Active(anon): 393440 kB Inactive(anon): 0 kB Active(file): 153212 kB Inactive(file): 249064 kB Unevictable: 48 kB Mlocked: 48 kB HighTotal: 1126152 kB HighFree: 383544 kB LowTotal: 870864 kB LowFree: 760116 kB SwapTotal: 779144 kB SwapFree: 779144 kB Dirty: 1644 kB Writeback: 0 kB AnonPages: 384940 kB Mapped: 115388 kB Slab: 22288 kB SReclaimable: 14616 kB SUnreclaim: 7672 kB PageTables: 2820 kB NFS_Unstable: 0 kB Bounce: 0 kB WritebackTmp: 0 kB CommitLimit: 1777652 kB Committed_AS: 942384 kB VmallocTotal: 122880 kB VmallocUsed: 53528 kB VmallocChunk: 57844 kB HugePages_Total: 0 HugePages_Free: 0 HugePages_Rsvd: 0 HugePages_Surp: 0 Hugepagesize: 4096 kB DirectMap4k: 49144 kB DirectMap4M: 856064 kB Please tell me if any more info is required.
