While I definitely used to enable this feature as well (before Docky, which groups), I'd say it's definitely too late in the cycle to make a change like this. This is the kind of thing that could use some usability testing before actually enabled and might be a good thing for the Ayatana team to look into with their user testing. Do most people often have enough windows open to make this option viable, or does it just make it harder to find their windows..
