Hey there, So summer started but it didn't distract us to get some good work done ;-)
The usual IRC meeting happened on tuesday, you can read the full log on http://ubottu.com/meetingology/logs/ubuntu-desktop/2015/ubuntu-desktop.2015-06-23-15.31.log.html If you are not interested in the details here is a summary of the main items of the week - quite some bugs got fixed in the gtk-mir backend - ibus got merged with debian & updated to the current version - several library transitions were worked on for wily: e-d-s 3.16, gstreamer 1.5, poppler 0.33, wps 0.4 - chromium 43.0.2357.130 is ready for upload and tests should work now - experiment have been done to use libreoffice for the new touch document viewer - the work on the snappy personal image continues, goget-ubuntu-touch in wily has no official support for personal, image can be build and boot to a working greeter, some bugs got resolved, unity8 session start is still not working though - usual packages updates, merges, bugfixes, etc That's it for this week Cheers, Sebastien Bacher -- ubuntu-desktop mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-desktop
