That effort should be taken. Because user don't know about thousands
of upstream projects. Nor they really care. They just want that damn
e-mail thingy to work. And I don't believe that it would/could be that
huge.

Anyway, I agree that testing cases is a good way to start and
improving them must be first goal to achieve if someone would like to
create such spec.
