I still have a query,
Macofi asked how the OS should know the computer case?
AFAIK most if not all the processors used in the laptop are different.
And nowadays they also have quite a few sensors which makes
identifying them easier isn't it ?
If one of the ways or using a combination of methods (or other ways
which I'm not aware of) outlined one can find whether the system is a
laptop or a desktop it would be cool.
At the end of the day, the whole idea is booting up faster.
