Yes, the response on /. to "Ubuntu 8.10 is faster than Vista" was generally "so what?" One guy said his father in law with a slide rule, graph paper, and a pencil was faster than Vista. The consensus was "faster than Vista isn't hard, we want it to be faster than XP" because remember, that's what most people are running.
