I have a really, really hard time recommending Ubuntu to schools, at all. I can't recommend something that, as far as I know, relies entirely on local administration. I know I could dig through 5 files for this but it's just annoying; for schools or the most basic 3-computer networks, Fedora Core 10 is the best recommendation I have, because you just say "Use active directory, domain controller is xxxx" and it works.
Am I missing somethnig here? I'm still on 8.10, not on the betas; has there been work to add some method for configuring Ubuntu to authenticate via WinBind, i.e. join a domain? -- Ubuntu-devel-discuss mailing list [email protected] Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-devel-discuss
