Yet at the same time most people raise the need for a precise information about their connection status. One of the things we're debating on now is what the user *really* needs to see on his panel as a persistent indicator. One of the results of this debate is already visible in Jaunty, with messaging indicator aiming to replace all the various icons thrown in by different messaging apps. The next steps will inevitably include the N-M behaviours and icons, and it would be great to hear what the individual views on that are.
