Is there any specific reason why lucene-fts plugin is not included in
the package?
squat (included in core) is not recommended by the author (especially
for large mailboxes, and has few other issues),
solr (dovecot-solr) requires very heavy-weight solr server (with lots of
dependencies), thus making it unsuitable
for small (resource-wise) servers.
lucene, on the other hand, only requires lucene libraries, is fast and
lightweight.
