Hey Martin,

If the extensions aren't packaged, I think we risk regressing many
users' Postgres functionality, and these users probably won't upgrade
to 11.04 (or will upgrade, and be very disappointed with the
experience).  Your suggestion (stick with 8.4, and put 9.0 in a PPA)
sounds reasonable to me.
