Right now, debcommit -r already does what mark-uploaded does; is there a reason why debcommit -r couldn't also (or instead) call bzr mark-uploaded? That would keep the workflow without an additional step for people who already use the UNRELEASED/dch -r/debcommit -r schema, and just introduce one extra step for the others.
