I was trying to mimic the Unity interface using the stock panels in KDE the other day (not because I like it, but rather for standardization) and I found it was impossible.
This work you've done really showcases the potentials of the panels. I particularly like the icon-only task launchers (similar to Mac, Unity or Windows 7). I've wanted this in KDE for a while now, and Ubuntu's implementation of it is a step backwards in terms of customization and flexibility IMO. I would vote this is used 12.04 if it's stable enough. It really kicks ass. -Tres On Tue, Feb 7, 2012 at 1:09 PM, Nowardev-Team <[email protected]> wrote: > you can install my panels like said here > > > > > http://kde-apps.org/content/show.php/Plasma+Panels+Collection+?content=147589 > > > > 2012/2/7 Swapnil Bhartiya <[email protected]> > >> On 02/07/2012 06:43 PM, LucaTringali wrote: >> >> Seems to me a good work: it demonstates the flexibility of KDE. >> >> >> Luca Tringali >> >> >> ----Messaggio originale---- >> Da: [email protected] >> Data: 07/02/2012 18.28 >> A: <[email protected]> <[email protected]> >> Ogg: Panels for kubuntu >> >> hi i have done some work on plasma panels .. if anyone is interested >> about this stuff >> >> see this video and tell me what you think >> >> >> >> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYzEty1TYAE&feature=g-upl&context=G2aa9bc0AUAAAAAAAEAA >> >> >> Excellent effort.
