Given the lack of new PowerPC desktop hardware, my personal interest with my community hat on is in Ubuntu Server on PowerPC, and I don't much care about the desktop. This isn't to say that I don't want to keep as much of the archive buildable on PPC as we can, just that I don't think we need Ubuntu Desktop images on PPC right now. If the situation changes and someone starts producing new PowerPC desktop kit again, I'd happily revisit this but, until such a time, my real concern is d-i netboot and Ubuntu Server images for IBM and Servergy server kit. None of the above affects lubuntu, of course, who intentionally target low end hardware, and their stuff should continue to function on old G4/G5 Macs, at least once we've sorted out some recent kernel woes. ...
