Hello all, Some weeks ago, current udev upstream versions switched from the old /lib/udev/keymaps/ and 95-keymap.rules+95-keyboard-force-release.rules to using hwdb (/lib/udev/hwdb.d/60-keyboard.hwdb), which is much faster, avoids tons of little files, and is much simpler to maintain. As before, users/admins can still override/test local changes in /etc/udev/hwdb.d/.
Quite a number of keymap updates happened since then and more will follow, so I think it's better if we jump to the hwdb schema now even though we can't currently upgrade to the current upstream release. So I just uploaded a new systemd 204-0ubuntu10 with the keymap hwdb stuff backported, so that from now on pulling current keymaps from upstream is trivial. I tested this on my ThinkPad X201 and it works fine there, but in theory it might happen that there are regressions on some models. So please upgrade to udev 204-0ubuntu10, reboot, and check that your Fn magic keys still work as expected. If not, please file a bug against systemd (with apport, please).
