Hiya o/

I spent almost all of this +1 shift working on glibc regressions with
Simon. There were no open work-needed items from the previous report.

There were lots of compilation issues due to the new gcc-defaults, which we
first had to separate out from the issues directly pertaining to the new
version of glibc by carefully migration-reference-ing the tests believed to
be only because of the new gcc.

A patches were the result of this, mostly being cherry-picked changes from
upstream.

## Work-needed items

Warning: this list is perhaps a bit too verbose, but I ask for your
patience as this is my first +1 shift!

* [ncbi-tools6](
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ncbi-tools6/+bug/2121042): This
bug is likely a kernel issue, for now it has been hinted, but I found it
hard to investigate
* [prometheus-hacluster-exporter](
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/prometheus-hacluster-exporter/+bug/2121079):
similarly to the above, I had a hard time deciphering the actual issue
here, seems to silently fail after everything in the test passes
* [openvpn](https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openvpn/+bug/2120871):

linux 6.16.0-13.13 redefines `enum ovpn_mode` causing test failures and
FTBFS
* [openzwave](
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openzwave/+bug/2120868):
gtest-death-test.cc fails to compile with C23 with "error: ‘uintptr_t’ does
not name a type"
* [pistache](https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pistache/+bug/2120867):
 async.h fails to compile with C23 with "no member named ‘chain_’"
* [proftpd-dfsg](
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/proftpd-dfsg/+bug/2120864):
Compilation issue, there is a new version upstream which fixes this though
* [rust-bat](https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/rust-bat/+bug/2120863):
 syntect-5.2.0 causes rust-bat to fail to build with "use of undeclared
crate or module `regex_impl`"
* [snap7](https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/snap7/+bug/2120859):
 snap7.h fails to compile with C23
