Remove the Splash Screen at boot, to improve boot speed. In the "menu.list" remove the "splash" option, keep the "quiet" option. Remove ALL virtual consoles! (ALT+F1 , ALT+F2 , ALT+ F3 , etc, etc), keep just one.
