This is probably because you installed from a memory card or stick. The installer adds cdrom to the /etc/fstab file even though there isn't a cd rom. This is a bug which Ferry is working on. Fix: sudo gedit /etc/fstab The last line should be something something cdrom something something. Comment it out (put a: # in front of the line) Reboot and mounting should work
