I think inability to find and install bluetooth packages is because of the apt/repository problem discussed at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-eee/+question/43121. Switching from US server to Main server solved it for me, I was able to install bluetooth and gnome-bluetooth. It seems a bit flaky - hcitool scan was able to find bluetooth GPS initially, but then couldn't connect and finally stopped working altogether (hcitool dev would show no devices) until "sudo hciconfig hci0 reset" and reboot brought it back - but it works.
