New question #43854 on Ubuntu Eee: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-eee/+question/43854
The built-in media player (Rhythmbox) and the FF plugin for mp3s, divx videos, etc. do not seem to be supporting those formats. I allow the software to look for the repos needed that contain the codecs, but it fails: Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/hardy/main/binary-i386/Packages.bz2 Hash Sum mismatch Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/hardy/restricted/binary-i386/Packages.bz2 Hash Sum mismatch Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/hardy/main/source/Sources.bz2 Hash Sum mismatch Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/hardy/restricted/source/Sources.bz2 Hash Sum mismatch Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/hardy/universe/binary-i386/Packages.bz2 Hash Sum mismatch Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/hardy/universe/source/Sources.bz2 Hash Sum mismatch Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/hardy/multiverse/binary-i386/Packages.bz2 Hash Sum mismatch Failed to fetch http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/hardy/multiverse/source/Sources.bz2 Hash Sum mismatch Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
