Technically it will work, however the kernel itself has been optimized
for the eeepc. (Some modules have been stripped, etc.) You may need to
re-install the generic ubuntu kernel in case you have problems with
network access.
Most components customized on the eeepc kernel will only kick-in when
it's running on eeepc hardware, so, it *should* work ;)
