It should be working on RC2. Odd... The piece which isn't quite there yet (I wish Jon would notify me BEFORE he posts a new RC) is the eeepc-config package. This package loads appropriate modules, even though they should be autoloading in the kernel. I suspect that might be your problem.
Run 'lsmod'. Can you verify if rt2860sta is in there? If not, run 'sudo modprobe -v rt2860sta' and check lsmod again. If so, your network connection should be back online. If everything is good now, the kernel auto-load might not be working. To make it work after each bootup, append "rt2860sta" to /etc/modules Finally, can you post the output of 'lspci -v -nn' here? ... this'll help me determine if something is missing from the Kernel auto-probe code. -- No networking on eeePC 1000 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/253136 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Eee Coders, which is subscribed to Ubuntu Eee.
