Is it a 1000h?
What is the output of 'df' and /proc/mounts?
The 16gig SSD should exist as /dev/sdb1. Ideally all you should need to do is
add to /etc/fstab:
/dev/sdb1 /home ext3
defaults,noatime,errors=remount-ro 0 1
