this is more of a suggestion than a question isn't it? unless you phrase
it like: can the next RC have a choice to skip the new desktop? I think
it would be a big improvement. The new 4.0.8.1 desktop only adds
functionality on a device with touchscreen. Other ways it only increases
the number of mouse actions.
