New question #45804 on Ubuntu Eee:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-eee/+question/45804

Hello,
I recently purchased an Asus Eee 900 and downloaded the latest Ubuntu-Eee build
(v8.04.1). As you probably know, Ubuntu has integrated accessibility support
for blind people using a screen reader called Orca. You can aither start this
by pressing f5, 3 and enter when the CD is booting and after you selected your
language or by pressing alt+f2, typing orca and hitting enter on the Gnome
desktop. However, this doesn't work in Ubuntu Eee. Orca comes up and says it's
loading its settings as it is supposed too, but then it stops speaking
completely. This seems to be a Ubuntu Eee problem since Orca works on a
"normal" Ubuntu CD. Could you please tell me the reason for this problem?
Ubuntu is pretty much known for its good accessibility and it would be really
disappointing if this would change in Ubuntu Eee. A solution for this issue
would be very apreciated!
Best regards,
Robin.
