Well, I can only speak of my own personal experience. I have two other
computers running Ubuntu (one desktop, one laptop) with automatic login,
where this is not an issue. They both have Swedish keyboards, though --
maybe this affects things?
Disabling automatic login on the Eee worked, however. As I rarely reboot
that particular computer, I can live with that.
