Question #46596 on Ubuntu Eee changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-eee/+question/46596

    Status: Open => Solved

José Pedro Monteiro confirmed that the question is solved:
The dual boot I had when the problem happens is a linux disk inside a XP NTFS
partition.
I didn't fix it but now I don't have that problem any more because I installed
Ubuntu in a EXT3 partition and with a real dual boot.
With this standard installation I just had to enlarge the swap partition to fit
my memory.
