Question #46189 on Ubuntu Eee changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-eee/+question/46189
Status: Open => Answered Jonathon Hodges proposed the following answer: I would expect not Agus, I am not an expert by any means, but as I understand it, ext3 is an extended version of ext2 with extra features. I expect that a conversion tool may exist to convert it from ext3 to ext2 but I don't think simply changing the fstab file will help you with reducing disk usage. I'd recommend doing more research or waiting for a better answer before trying to edit fstab.
