Christopher proposed the following answer:
check www.array.org/ubuntu and install the latest eeepe-config (1.3.4+),
bluetooth is toggle-ablle with hotkey #2 now.
Also, ubuntu-eee 8.04.1 doesn'tt come with bluez-gnome added by default
so BT can be a bit tricky to set up.
Install the latest eeepc-config and the bluez-gnome and you should be
set to go.
