ubuntu eee is built more or less on top of adamms kernel with some
customization of packages. enabling the hardy - repository from
www.array.org/ubuntu and installing the newest packages, mainly eeepc-
control wil fix most of the 8.04.1 hardware errors discovered since
launch.

Status in Ubuntu Eee: New

Bug description:
Hi all,

I have installed ubuntu eee on my eee pc 901. I tried enabling the Wifi by
using "fn" and "f2" but the OS freezes, nothing works including the mouse
cursor. i have to hold down the "shutdown button" to switch off and restart. I
using the "update manager" with a cable connected and downloaded all the latest
updates, restarted, tried again but faced the same issue.

Has anyone else experienced this issue, and if you have, have you managed to
fix it?

Thanks
