New question #49897 on Ubuntu Eee: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-eee/+question/49897
Hi I'm a total newbie. I installed Ubuntu Eee on my Medion E1210 & it worked perfectly. I therefore thought I'd shrink the windows partition & expand the linux partition. I'm now getting an error on startup on the home partition that is: "dev/sda4/ resize inode not valid". I'm prompted to run fsck manually in a maintenance shell but that command line shell refuses to accept the root password, but allows me to enter Ctrl D to continue. The system then runs perfectly. I'm advised I can't repair a mounted partition - any advice??
