Question #55983 on Ubuntu Eee changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-eee/+question/55983
Status: Open => Answered Jonathon Hodges proposed the following answer: Hi McGeehee, The Netbook Remix launcher interface is the "main menu" that you are talking about. I don't know how you'd make it possible to turn it on and off, but I've found a thread from a while back where people discussed turning it off. The first post mentions disabling maximus and UME Desktop Launcher in Accessories -> Sessions. - Maximus makes all the windows appear maximised under Gnome whenever you launch a new window - UME Desktop Launcher I think is the Ubuntu Mobile Internet Device Edition interface that the Netbook Remix launcher interface is built on Here's the post: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-eee/+question/46552 The latter part concerning tty terminals is not really relevant to your question. Kind regards, Jon -- You received this question notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Eee Coders, which is an answer contact for Ubuntu Eee. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-eee-coders Post to : ubuntu-eee-coders@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-eee-coders More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
