This touches on a larger problem on how we deal with the desktop.
Marking as confirmed because we need to choose one of the options:
1. Change apps to use another directory for downloads etc
2. Add a shortcut to the desktop from the launcher and leave things as they are
3. Enable desktop-is-home in nautilus.

Bug description:
Since the netbook remix interface replaces the normal desktop, there should be
a shortcut to the desktop folder on the right side in the remix interface.
It's easy enough to create this link. Just navigate to the Desktop folder in
nautilus and Add Bookmark. But I think this bookmark should be a default.
