New question #57577 on Easy Peasy:
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu-eee/+question/57577

Hi all (apologies for my new-ness!)

I just got a 901 and put easy peasy on it. I can connect to my wireless network
at home using MAC address but I can't connect at college because it uses WPA
Enterprise. My Hardy standard laptop did it OK, but the new one can't even
choose WPA enterprise when creating a new network from the systray thingy. But
I did find in the network configuration options, that I can edit that network
and choose WPA enterprise & PEAP but only in the imaginary settings on my eee
that don't actually link to the real network. So I don't really know what to
do...
No one seems to have had the exact same problem but in other cases people have
used WCID, will this make a difference for me? A bit cautious because some
people said that made it worse and I'm scared I wont be able to put network
manager back!
People have also mentioned getting the ralink driver directly, but I don't
really know how to set this up and/or override the drivers that are already
there...

01:00.0 Network controller: RaLink Device 0781
        Subsystem: RaLink Device 2790
Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr-
Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- DisINTx-
        Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B- ParErr- DEVSEL=fast >TAbort- <TAbort-
<MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- INTx-
Latency: 0, Cache Line Size: 32 bytes
Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 19
        Region 0: Memory at f7ff0000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=64K]
        Capabilities: <access denied>
        Kernel driver in use: rt2860
        Kernel modules: rt2860sta

The techie guys at college are happy to put my MAC address in to avoid dodgy
registration processes that don't work properly, but they say that without WPA
enabled it won't connect anyway...

Please please help!
Thanks very much for any suggestions!
