to be honest, you really should leave the handling of the touchpad to HAL instead of xorg.conf. A later release of the easy-peasy eee-tweaks- package will include an .fdi that loads shmconfig for all devices running the elantech driver. (remember, the elantech-driver is only available in the array.org - kernel as of yet.)
** Changed in: ubuntu-eee Status: New => Fix Committed -- wrong 900 touchpad driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/275421 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Eee Coders, which is subscribed to Easy Peasy. Status in Easy Peasy: Fix Committed Bug description: One of the only reasons I switched from the old to the new Ubuntu EEE was to see if the touchpad drivers had been properly updated. They haven't. Though the touchpad works, it's almost impossible to turn the touchpad off while typing (which is extremely important to anyone like me who has big hands and uses the EEE for serious writing).
