I had problem after an update.

AR242x 802.11abg Wireless PCI Express Adapter

Scenario was I had just installed 8.10 and saw there were updates as usual.
Installed the updates, rebooted.

No wifi.

Luckily I had a version of madwifi I had compiled for Debian Lenny. It
worked.

The version on that madwifi-
modules-2.6.26-1-686_0.9.4+r3772.20080716-1+2.6.26-11_i386.

7/16/2008 0.9.4 version with a revision of r3772?

I'm fairly new to the naming conventions.

My kernel is version 2.6.27-11-generic

Hope that helps

Bug description:
I tried 8.04.1. Found a number of problems which forced me back to 8.04.

1) Flaky wireless connection. Sometimes it would connect, sometimes not. Always
connected before.
2) Shutdown unreliable from remix. Had to go to a terminal and do a sudo
shutdown.
3) Documents didn't display from the file manager. I click on a text doc, hit
Display, and nothing happens.
4) Connection via Nokia phone possible but seemed slower than with 8.04.

I do like Remix, the faster boot, and more disk space, but without wireless it
was a no-go for the moment
