The same happened to me.
After a very good installation (usb/iso vs 1.0) i got the signal the language
(in my case dutch) was not complete. A solution is automatically offered. Since
i am a starter on Linux, that made me happy.
It guided me through the procedure (synaptic?). But in the same time a lot of
already installed software was erased. For instance openoffice.
I want to install wine but i am afraid that i loose more software when using
this method.
Hope you will solve this soon.
For the time being (i have some time before i really need it) i' ll wait for
solutions/update

Bug description:
Easy Peasy 1.0 Release
Language support is not implement completely.
Try to postinstall language german, but this language cannot be installed
regarding packed management configuration failure.

More precise, when trying to install the german language of openoffice, packet
manager wants to remove a bunch of packets, including the open office tools
themselves.

Hint: Not regarding office only, the language is missing os level. Not possible
to postinstall with system configuration, packed management failure.
