Bug description:
Ubuntu Eee 8.04
When shutting down using either the shutdown panel icon or by pressing the
power button and shoosing shutdown, Ubuntu Eee will go through shutdown
procedure correctly but will stop with blank screen and power light on. I need
to hold down the power button for several seconds before it will power off.
I have confirmed the workaround described at

works on my EeePC 900

When you install, Ubuntu doesn't shut down properly. Shutting down your will
make the screen turn off, but does not cut the power. So
Add: rmmod snd-hda-intel
at the beginning of the /etc/init.d/halt script in order to make the Eee
shutdown properly.
