Intel is hit and miss.  They've made commitments to free software drivers in
the past, and that's included some of the Dell "N" Series (ie, Dell Mini 12)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_GMA#Linux details some of the issues
around the GMA 500, for example, which was included in the Dell Mini-12 "N"
series which are not supported by newer versions of Ubuntu.
