Hi there, *Plymouth theme is theoretically finished* and ready to test (this is more difficult to do and *it may harm your system*) Right now you have to change files manually, but I may add a script.
1. If you haven't installed Git, do it by typing sudo apt-get install git or sudo aptitude install git on the Terminal. 2. Then, type git clone git:// github.com/aldomann/ubuntu-gnome-plymouth.git in order to download the files. Alternatively you can open this: https://github.com/aldomann/ubuntu-gnome-plymouth and download the ZIP file from the right bottom corner of the page. *How to test it:* asssuming you use Ubuntu GNOME, you only have to replace the files located in /lib/plymouth (make sure you open nautilus on root, this can be done by typing *gksu nautilus* on the Alt+F2 dialogue, and make sure you make a backup of those files). How to see it in action: 1. One way is rebooting your system. 2. Another way (easier, and reboot is not needed) is installing this lovely package: Plymouth Preview<https://launchpad.net/plymouth-preview/main/0.1/+download/plymouth-preview_0.1_all.deb>. Once installed run sudo plymouth-preview on your Terminal. The plymouth theme will run and end automatically, you don't have to to anything.
