AFAIK, it was currently only packaged by the webupd8team : http://www.webupd8.org/2012/10/gpaste-gnome-shell-clipboard-manager.html . So it would be nice to have it available directly in UbuntuGnome without having to add an external PPA.
It would need to come through Debian first.

Unfortunately the attemps to package it there seem to have gone unnoticed.
