We won't be changing any of the existing default apps for 14.04. However will probably include gnome-weather and perhaps gnome-maps as well. Longer term will evaluate switching to gnome-music and gnome-photos, but they are not quite there just yet.

Firefox has a huge advantage in that it comes with free (to us) security updates for the life of the release. That alone is probably reason enough to stick with Firefox.
