No, no, I didn't mean that :( What I meant is: I was trying to think the positive way that there is NO bug at all :D You see my point now? Sorry, can't help it, I love Ubuntu GNOME and I hate to know that was a bug :D Anyway, if you really think this is a bug (of course I trust you), I will go maybe tomorrow to pick up the laptop or ask her to bring it to me. I'm just a bit worried she might ask me to replace the system. She said she cares about the HDMI thing a lot :( Maybe I need to do some of my magic ;) > > > > > >> >> >> http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2209125 >> >> I'm trying to help a neighbor that I recently converted to Ubuntu GNOME >> and hope that wasn't a bad idea :P :P :P >> >> So, any idea how to do that? check the thread, please :) >> >> -There are known issues with most if not all HDMI monitors not reporting >> the correct physical size, there were some bugs (look for "Huge fonts" >> issue) caused by this, but I believe they are fixed now. >> - There was a bug that affect cloning displays, but that should be fixed >> in mutter 3.10.4 >> -Some GPU's (Mostly Intel I think) have a maximum possible width, in this >> case side-by-side configuration won't work, but stacked vertically >> (top/bottom) will. >> >> > Did you read every post on that thread? just to make sure you did :) > > It seems that I have to take the laptop from her again ... she is new > and can't help with reporting bugs ... > > >> >> Thank you! >> >> If my neighbor will ask to go back to Windows or ask for another >> system, I will blame you all :P hehe >> Just kidding! >> >> -- >> Best Regards, >> amjjawad <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/amjjawad> >> *Remember: *"All of us are smarter than any one of us." >> >> Ubuntu GNOME OneStopPage<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/OneStopPage> >> Join Ubuntu GNOME <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/GettingInvolved> >> Test Ubuntu GNOME <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/Testing> >> Contact Ubuntu GNOME <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/ContactUs> >> Download Ubuntu GNOME<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/GetUbuntuGNOME> >> >> >> >> >> -- >> Ubuntu-GNOME mailing list >> [email protected] >> Modify settings or unsubscribe at: >> https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-gnome >> >> > > > -- > Best Regards, > amjjawad <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/amjjawad> > *Remember: *"All of us are smarter than any one of us." > > Ubuntu GNOME OneStopPage<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/OneStopPage> > Join Ubuntu GNOME <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/GettingInvolved> > Test Ubuntu GNOME <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/Testing> > Contact Ubuntu GNOME <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/ContactUs> > Download Ubuntu GNOME<https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuGNOME/GetUbuntuGNOME> > > > > -- > Ubuntu-GNOME mailing list > [email protected] > Modify settings or unsubscribe at: > https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-gnome > > -- Best Regards, amjjawad <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/amjjawad> *Remember: *"All of us are smarter than any one of us."
