Hi all. I recently joined Scrollback, an open source chat platform for open communities. Scrollback has IRC and Twitter integration too. Hence it's much easier to use IRC from the web.
I created a room for Ubuntu GNOME in Scrollback which you can find here - https://scrollback.io/ubuntu-gnome/ Also, as a sidenote, we can embed the Scrollback widget in the blog too. It requires adding a snippet of Javascript before the closing body tag. There is also wordpress plugin (http://wordpress.org/plugins/scrollback/) which is an easier way.
